Thank you for registering at Semantic Community.net during
2008. We used the MindTouch Deki Express as an example of a Web 2.0 Wiki to
support our 2008 activities. Please see
Deki Express for
more information and an example
tutorial.
Now we are embarking on our Community Infrastructure
Sandbox for 2009 starting with our
February 17th conference / workshop in Washington, DC, February 17, 2009,
hosted by Computer Science Corporation at their Executive Briefing Center, and
featuring new semantic technology tools and government data sources for your
use. Our February 17th Workshop saw 360 people signup to attend either on-site
or remotely via Webex. Overall, we were very pleased. We had about 80
people on-site and averaged about the same number on-line. A respectable turn
out. We never had less than 60 on line until the final hour. Overall the content
was great. Presentations were very well received. Good feedback (see
proceedings).
A
joint meeting with the
The Washington Semantic Web Meetup,
May 13th, was a great success with about 100 attending. There is a semantic community of practice discussion during the June 14-18, 2009,
2009 Semantic Technology
Conference, in San Jose, California. The next event is the Eighth SOA for
E-Government Conference, October 5, 2009, at the MITRE Auditorium, in McLean, VA.
Thank you,

Some Resources:
-
Bluehost:
•Professional hosting with
many features and services.
-
- Snoggle:
Snoggle is a graphical, SWRL-based ontology mapper to assist in the task of
OWL ontology alignment. It allows users to visualize ontologies and then
draw mappings from one to another on a graphical canvas. Users draw mappings
as they see them in their head, and then Snoggle turns these mappings into
SWRL/RDF or SWRL/XML for use in a knowledge base.

•A Semantic Web application to better
leverage and contribute to the collective intelligence of your friends,
colleagues, groups and teams. See
